The Extron DTP3 T 202 EU/MK is a two‑input wallplate transmitter for sending USB‑C® video, HDMI, audio, and control up to 330 feet (100 meters) over shielded CAT 6A cable. It is compatible with standard two‑gang EU and MK‑type junction boxes, supports video resolutions up to 4K/60 @ 4:4:4, and complies with HDCP 2.3. For maximum image quality and minimal latency, all supported video resolutions are transported without compression. Analogue stereo audio embedding and RS‑232 remote control facilitate integration in demanding professional environments. This transmitter offers many integrator-friendly features such as EDID Minder®, auto-switching, remote power, and bidirectional RS‑232 extension for remote device control. The wall-mountable design provides the convenience of placing input connections precisely where they are needed.

The DTP3 T 202 EU/MK enables the reliable, long distance transmission of digital signals. The USB-C input provides video via DisplayPort Alt Mode. It also supports HDMI 2.0b signals at data rates up to 18 Gbps, HDR, Deep Colour up to 12‑bit, 3D, and embedded HD lossless audio formats. In addition, the DTP3 output can be configured to send video and embedded audio, plus bidirectional RS‑232 signals, to an HDBaseT™-enabled display. DDC communication of EDID and HDCP is continuously maintained between source and display, ensuring direct compatibility and optimal signal transmission between devices.

This transmitter is mountable within an EU or MK two-gang junction box or a Flex55 enclosure, depending on the mounting brackets.

Features that Streamline Integration

To enhance device integration and to help ensure optimal system performance, the transmitter features EDID Minder. This Extron technology automatically manages EDID by maintaining continuous EDID communication with each source, ensuring the sources power up properly and reliably output content for display.

Front panel LED indicators provide immediate visual confirmation of signal presence for the inputs, as well as power. On the back panel, LEDs indicate signal presence and link status for the output and HDCP status by input.

Convenient Control and Power

The DTP3 T 202 EU/MK transmitter provides many other integrator-friendly features designed to help streamline installation. It supports simultaneous transmission of bidirectional RS‑232 from a control system for AV device control. The transmitter can be remotely powered over the shielded twisted pair cable by a DTP3-enabled product. In addition, it can be configured to provide power to the connected receiver, allowing both devices to share one power supply.

Bidirectional RS-232 control signals can be transmitted alongside the video signal, facilitating remote operation of AV devices without the need for additional cabling. For added convenience, a USB-C configuration port on the back panel offers ready access to information and easy updating of firmware. Configuration of the DTP3 T 202 EU/MK is made straightforward with Extron's PCS - Product Configuration Software and its user-friendly GUI that is very easy to navigate. This software application allows for expedited setup, commissioning, and real-time operation and monitoring.

To ensure optimal performance with DTP3 systems, Extron recommends XTP DTP 22 cables and accessories. These 22-gauge shielded twisted pair cables, shielded RJ‑45 plugs, jacks, and couplers have been engineered for optimum performance for DTP3 products running at 18 Gbps. Extron XTP DTP 22 cable bandwidth is verified to 500 MHz and utilizes a S/FTP design with four shielded 22 AWG twisted pair conductors inside an overall braided shield for superior performance and noise immunity.
